FARM KING MACOMB SHOOTING HELD HOSTAGES


An unidentified gunman opened fire his semiautomatic riffle after a heated argument inside Farm King store of  1620 E. Jackson St., Macomb, Illinois, around 12:45 in the afternoon, Wednesday,  taking hostage two men, two women and a boy about 7 or 8 years old. 

When Macomb Police responded and arrived to the scene, the gunman burst at least 20 rounds ammunition of his gun who retreated to the store. The gunman was never seen before. 

Panic employees of the store and its customers  were able to leave the crime scene. An eyewitness to the incident, Richard Moulton, was inside the store  together with his father to buy a battery charger heard someone arguing on the other isle yelling, then  a burst of gun shots followed. 

Hostages  were later on released to the authorities.  Injuries has not yet been reported.
