To find a vaccine against H1N1 Flu, the Texas Department of State Health Services extended their services through Google by launching a Flu Shot Locator.
The locator helps find clinics, pharmacies and business establishments with available H1N1 or seasonal flu vaccinations based on zip code. The State Health Department also suggested of calling ahead to ensure the vaccines are available.
Loading the locator, you need to manually enter your location by using the option "Change Location." Upon doing the search, a red needle icon would appear indicating where you can get regular seasonal flu shots while another blue needle for the H1N1 vaccine. If both type of vaccine are offered in one location, both color needles will be pointing to that particular location.
You will immediately find a list along the left-hand side of the map that gives more details about the particular place and reflecting all the locations. Google said that more locations will be added soon.
As of Friday, Texas was allocated 4.7 million doses of H1N1 vaccine by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
