LIBYA CRISIS: GADDAFI'S FAMILY FLED TO ALGERIA

(Col. Gaddafi's wife, Safia; sons Muhammad and Hannibal and daughter Ayesha)

Algeria's APS News Agency through its Foreign Ministry said that the family of fugitive Libyan leader, Muammar Gaddafi fled to Algeria.

Safia, the wife of Gaddafi,  together with her sons Mohammad and Hannibal and daughter Ayesha left Libya early Monday and seek refuge to Algeria while the fugitive leader still went into hiding to date.

Libyan rebels said that the sheltering of Algeria to the family members of Gaddafi is considered as an act of aggression and calling them for extradition.

Meanwhile, unconfirmed reports quoted by the rebels stated that Gaddafi's son, Khamis, might have been killed  in a clash near Bani Walid since his soldiers have been captured and burned in the area.

The rebels were trying to overcome the pockets of resistance by Gaddafi's loyalists and preparing for advance search of  Gaddafi in his birthplace, Sirte however,  they believes that Col. Gaddafi was still in Tripoli area.

NTC Spokesman of Algeria, Mahmoud Shamman told Reuters News Agency, "we have promised to provide a just trial to all those criminals. We are warning not to shelter Gaddafi and his sons."
