BROOKE SHIELDS PAID RESPECT TO MICHAEL JACKSON

Brooke Shields arrived at the Staple Center's memorial service and paid her last respect to his long-time friend, Michael Jackson.

She took to the podium, tearful, spoke and shared her old memories when she met Michael at the age of 13 and had been his best friend for a decades. "He is the sweetest person I've ever met and a true friend," Shields said. "Our friendship was the easiest and natural one" she added.

12 days passed since the death of Michael Jackson, the length of coverage of his death has already run longer than anyone's idea of a state funeral. 

 

It reaches its boiling point, of which all major networks and cable channels will be offering live coverage of Jackson memorial service starting at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Staples Center, Los Angeles.
