ALL SAINTS' DAY AND ALL SOULS' DAY

Celebrating All Saints' and Souls' Day are the stem belief among Christians that there is a powerful bond between the dead and the living.

ALL SAINTS DAY - Roman Catholics celebrated a feast day every 1st day of November to remember all saints and martyrs, known and unknown throughout Christian history where believers attended to church as the day is a non-working holiday.

It has been a Christian tradition remembering saints and martyrs giving specific day each year. Originally, the 13th of May was designated as the Feast of All Holy Martyrs bur later, in 837AD, Pope Gregory IV changed its name to Feast of All Saints and moved the date to November 1.

ALL SOULS DAY - is celebrated every 2nd day of November each year to commemorate the faithful departed. It is the time to pray the departed souls and visiting the graves. Others have their picnics and leave foods for their dead loved ones and relatives. The church also offered a Requiem Mass for the dead.

Since we are now facing a dreadful pandemic, doing rituals for our loved ones who departed their souls and visiting their graves have been prohibited to prevent from spreading the dreadful disease or corona virus.
